Shrimp, also known as prawns/chemmeen is one of the favourite sea foods of the natives of Kerala. It is ideal seafood which can be eaten in any form, be it in a curry, fried or as snacks. It is nutritious alternative to other meat proteins.Shrimps are classified as shell fish. Shrimps have more than 2000 species, size varying from less than 2cm to about 17cm. They provide a rich source of omega-3 fatty acids.
