INGREDIENTS FOR THE FISH

Seer Fish500 gm
Oil2 tbsp oil to pan fry
Cloves8
Ginger1Knob Mashed
Cumin1 tsp
Fennel1 tsp
Corriander Seeds2 tsp
Black Peppercorns2 tsp
Mustard Seeds½ tsp
Curry Leaves10
Saltto taste
Oil1 tsp to grind
Water1 tbsp
Tomato½ Chopped
Red Chilli Powder1 tsp
Tamarind Extract5 tsp
Cornflour1 tbsp to sprinkle

RecommendedSeer Fish Steaks 500 gram
Alternate 1Red Snapper Skinless Pieces 500 gram
Alternate 2Grouper Pieces 500 gram

HOW TO PREPARE

  • Defrost the fish as per instruction and wash.
  • In a pan dry roast garlic, ginger, cumin, fennel. corriander seeds, black peppercorns, mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  • Grind and add little salt, oil and water to a coarse paste.
  • Add tomatoes, chilli powder, salt and tamarind extract.
  • Pound them and spread on fish.
  • Sprinkle some cornflour over the fish.
  • Marinate the fish and keep in fridge for 20 minutes.
  • In a pan shallow fry in oil and serve hot.
