INGREDIENTS FOR THE FISH

Fish500 gms
Shallots80 gms(Crushed)
Ginger20 gms(Crushed)
Green Chillies5 gms(Crushed)
Curry Leaves3 Springs
Kokum20 gms soaked in 50 ml of water
Turmeric Powder½ tsp
Dry red chillies2 Nos.(Broken into pieces)
Mustard½ tsp
Fenugreek½ tsp
Garlic20 gms(Crushed)
SaltTo Taste
Oil2 ¾ tbsp
Water500 ml

HOW TO PREPARE

  • Defrost the fish as per instruction and wash.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add mustard, when it splutters, add fenugreek and fry till golden brown.
  • Add the crushed ingredients along with curry leaves, broken red chillies and saute for 5 minutes.
  • Add salt, followed by fish pieces and kokum along with water.
  • Add 500 ml of water and stir gently,bringing it to boil for 5 minutes.
  • Reduce heat and simmer till the fish is cooked.
  • Serve hot.

TIP: 

Good with rice.
