INGREDIENTS FOR THE FISH

Fish500 gm
Shallots(chopped)20
Ginger (chopped)1 tsp
Garlic (chopped)2 tsp
Tamarind juiceA small ball size (soaked in ½ cup water)
Curry leaves2 sprig
Coconut oil4 tbsp
WaterEnough to make gravy
TO GRIND AND MAKE A PASTE.
Shallots20
Tomato (chopped)1

Chilli powder3-4 tsp
Turmeric powder½ tsp
Coriander powder1 tsp
Ground pepper¾ tsp
SaltTo taste

Required Fish

RecommendedTrevally (Yellow Fin Trevally)
Alternate 1Indian Mackerel Cleaned Large 500 gram
Alternate 2Anchovy Cleaned Large 500 gram

HOW TO PREPARE

  • Defrost the fish as per instructions and wash.
  • In a pan pour oil and sauté ginger,garlic and onions and stir till light brown.
  • Add the paste along with curry leaves and sauté till the raw smell leaves.
  • Now add water and tamarind juice and let it boil.
  • Add the fish and cook till it is done. Serve hot.

TIP: 

Good with rice
