Yellow fin trevally also known as Vatta/Vattapara/Manjapara/Para in malayalam. It has a medium texture with a medium to high-fat content. The flavour is very mild, though slightly fishy. As the bones are easy to remove, Travelly is an excellent choice for children. Best ways to cook are to bake, grill, smoke and deep or shallow fry. This fish has a growing capacity to a maximum known length of 117 cm and a weight of 43.5 kg.
