RECIPE DESCRIPTION:

Crab Masala Fry is a fragrant medley of spices and aromatics.

FOR THE FISH

Crab500 gm
oil3 tbsp
Cloves2
Ginger minced1 inch
Cumin Seeds½ tbsp
Fennel seeds1 tsp
Corriander Seeds1 tbsp
Pepper corn5
Onionmedium 1 finely chopped
Dry red chilli1
Garlic minced3 medium
Tomato puree1 cup
Turmeric powder1 tsp
SaltTo Taste
Corriander leaves2 tbsp chopped

HOW TO PREPARE

  • Defrost the crab as per instruction and wash.
  • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a heavy bottom sauce pan and 1 tbsp chopped onion, corriander seeds, cumin seeds, dried chilli, pepper corn, cloves, ginger and garlic.
  • Cook until fragrant about 5 minutes on low flame.
  • Turn of heat and  add fennel seeds.
  • Immediately blend into a fine paste.
  • Add the remaining oil in the saucepan and add the remaining onions.
  • Cook till browned add tomato puree, bring to simmer for 5 mins..
  • Add turmeric and the ground paste.
  • Stir to combine and cook till oil separates.
  • Add a few drops of water,then add crab and salt, mix well, Cover and cook for 5 mins.
  • Remove the lid and continue to cook for 10 min. Sprinkle with corriander leaves.

TIP: 

Good with rice
